Gale Corporation - A History of Innovation

In 1989, Robert Gale introduced the world to the original Pocket Toner® test tool. He developed this tool to satisfy the need he saw in the cable television industry for a durable, compact, and reliable continuity tester for coaxial cable. It quickly became the continuity tool of choice for CATV and satellite technicians across the nation. Over the years, it has evolved into a sophisticated tool with expanded features making it useful to technicians in virtually any industry that deals with wires or cables.

In 2008, Pocket Toner® received huge improvements with the introduction of the new Pocket Toner® NX line. 2008 was also the year we launched the Innovation™ splitter line. These exciting new passive devices were the first devices of thier kind designed to fit comfortably into tight wall boxes.

Starting in 2011, Fluke Networks entered into an agreement with Gale Corporation to build and market Pocket Toner® brand products. The Pocket Toner® design and brand continues to belong to Gale Corporation. Gale Corporation works with Fluke to ensure the high quality standard of Pocket Toner® brand products does not change. Even though the colors, exterior labeling, packaging, and literature has changed, nothing else about the products has.

2011 was also the year Innovation™ splitters were improved with angled ports that improved cable management inside tiny wall boxes.
